Milled peat stockpiling harvester M-40V

The milled peat stockpiling harvester M-40V is intended and constructed for loading milled peat into the wagon's own tank using a 1,300 mm wide bucket conveyor, for stockpiling using the stockpiling harvester method, as well as for compacting the stockpile to reduce the possibility of self-combustion. The M-40 V wagon can make the ascent of the stockpiles steep and the stockpiles high which benefits peat producers. Less wettable surface remains on the ascent so less covering material (plastic) is needed. There is less frozen peat when peat is loaded uncovered in the winter. M-40 V harvesters can be used to start a narrow stockpile on the side of the road in the spring and expand it toward the field with new stockpiles. Bottom unloading is a perfect method for this activity.

The large tractive tyres are an important factor in stockpiling, as the loading tank tilts forward during stockpiling. When tyres are placed at the rear of the loading tank, the centre of gravity shifts onto the tractive axle. There is weight also on the tractor's rear tyres. As such, the stockpile can ascend well. On the field, tractive tyres placed behind the tank provide a benefit: when the weight of the load shifts more onto the tractor's tyres, the tractor sinks first and the driver knows he's reached a soft spot. The driver opens the unloading hatches and turns on the reverse gear of the driving power takeout. The wagon pulls the tractor out of the bog and no additional help is needed. The driver takes a new load. All drivetrains of wagons and trailers are designed and manufactured by Raiselift Oy. Wide hub reduction axles are made with inspected used parts. As with the planetary gear on the cardan shaft.

The reduction gear box is completely new and it has been designed especially for the tractive harvester wagons. When the tractor is equipped with ground speed power takeoff, utilising the wide range of available gear ratios for the gear box, ratios 1-1 – 5.5 – 1, the driving speed of the trailer and tractor can be matched by replacing parts only in the reduction gear box. There is no need to redrill the transmission casing. Parts for changing the ratio are available at Raiselift Oy’s warehouse.

The size of the M-40 V harvester is suitable for road transport by vehicles as special transport. The wagon can be delivered to the site ready for use and there is no assembly involved. Approximately 300 tractive wagons, models M-40 V, M-35 V, M-30 V, I-40 V, I-30 V I-80 V and YPV-50, have been manufactured since 1991. Non-tractive wagons were manufactured prior to 1991. The first wagon was completed in the spring of 1980.

Jyrsinturpeen kokooja-aumausvaunu M-40V

Mechanical milled peat stockpiling harvester collects peat from the ridge.

The wagon is unloaded from the bottom and the wagon compacts the peat into stockpiles. Bottom unloading is a patented method. The loading conveyor is equipped with a flexible top and back part to prevent damage from tree stumps (patented).
