Milled peat harrow KÄ-18, model with a long blade

Harrow with a long blade that forms a turning ridge when doing a fast run. The long blade has a great effect on the harrowing speed.

The long blade forms a turning ridge with a clean field between ridges. When it rains, water flows from the turning ridge to the clean field and is absorbed into the field.

The traditional Russian-style spoon harrow does not create a clean field between ridges so rain water flows between the ridges from the top of the ridge. First, this creates a puddle that is absorbed into the peat between the ridges and later into even elevated peat, making the whole peat layer wet.

The harrow's weight distribution is amended to match the 2013 model. In this model, the weight of the side elements burdens the tractor's wheels while the blades approach the side of the tractor's driver. Hence, the ability to monitor the blades improves.

The speed of a harrow with a long blade doubles compared to traditional harrows. If harrows are compared based on the quality of the turning ridge, i.e. both harrows should create a similar harrowing ridge, the harrow with a long blade is superior due to its speed.

The drying time becomes shorter. Shorter periods of dry weather increase production.

Fewer tractors for harrows are needed.

Rain resistance of the turning ridge improves.

Good turning ridges do not stick to the field, post-rain crops can be harvested normally.

We also manufacture ridges with a working width of 9 metres, and due to their speed, they are just as effective as the traditional 18-metre spoon harrows. The 9-metre harrow is suitable for unformed areas that have hindrances for larger equipment and functions as a harrow for a multi-crop ridge. A small tractor with smooth tyres is suitable as the traction machine.
